Vice's Fashion Week Internationale: Nigeria

I previously featured Vice's Fashion Week Internationale about Cambodia, and the most recent and final edition of Season 1 took place in Lagos, Nigeria. While the actual fashion week that is featured in each of these installments is interesting in its own right, it's really the people and the culture that surprise me the most. I didn't expect a group of Nigerian models to start singing Celine Dion on a yacht, nor did I know that Nigerian men are often more vain than the women - and yet must walk a thin line to avoid being considered homosexual (which is punishable by law there). Watch, above, and catch up on the other global fashion weeks here.

Vice's Fashion Week Internationale: Cambodia

We all know what New York, Paris, Milan, and London Fashion Weeks are like, but in Vice's Fashion Week Internationale video series, you get to see what the event is like in other unexpected locations. The latest installment goes behind the scenes of Cambodia's first-ever fashion week, including the appalling garment factory conditions.
