Crisp leather, glossy finishes, mesh, and a little draping went a long way in Alex Wang's Fall 2012 collection. Wang maintained his hip, tomboy approach, but many looks veered towards minimalist (or at least minimalist for Alexander Wang), where the strength of the look would be in the tailoring or the custom fabrics, rather than the embellishments. Alexander Wang is also one of those designers that can get away with only using black and white (and some oxblood), and it works perfectly with his aesthetic.
